SEIKO AUTOMATIC PROSPEX SUMO LIMITED EDITION 1200PCS SPB192J1
Since the development of the first Japanese-made diving watch in 1965, SEIKO has powered on and made significant progress, resulting in it being one of the most sought after brand among the field of diving watches. The SEIKO PROSPEX sports watch series includes a variety of professional diving models, with fresh new styles are added often. This year, SEIKO has launched a new PROSPEX SPB192J1 diving watch inspired by the "Hawksbill Turtle". With only 1,200 pieces produced, this limited edition is represented by the Thong Sia Watch Company Limited and sold exclusively in Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore.
In the eyes of many, Hawksbill Turtles are colorful and precious “organic gemstones”; we’re referring to the carapace of turtles, as they symbolise health and prosperity, and among marine life, their hard shells on the back are particularly stoic and reliable, which coincides with the image of the PROSPEX diving watch. The Hawksbill Turtle is known as the "Thirteen-Edged Turtle", as its carapace is mainly composed of 13 plates. For the new SPB192J1 model, it does not use the rubber straps commonly used in diving watches; instead stainless steel chain straps are chosen with a design mimicking that of the plate’s structure of the carapace. It is also equipped with a three-fold push clasp with a safety lock device to ensure that the watch wouldn’t fall off easily. Furthermore, the watch features a 45mm stainless steel case, sapphire crystal surface, screw-in crown, and a professional waterproof performance of 200 meters fit for diving. This timepiece shows the high reliability of SPB192J1 diving watch model in every aspect, and will surely hold its own in the deep sea.
Colour matching is an important part of modern diving watches. The SPB192J1 diving watch naturally integrates the Hawksbill Turtle hues into the design, showcasing SEIKO's keen sense of colour using. The two-colour unidirectional rotating bezel is printed with a minute scale. While the main ring is black, the first “20 minutes” of the ring is in brown, echoing the colour of the Hawksbill Turtle. The surface is directly based on the Hawksbill Turtle brown, which not only compliments each other with the bezel, but also creates a stable and reliable look. The pattern of the carapace is also designed into a wave pattern, mimicking the billowing waves and contributing the ocean genes that inspire the design on the watch surface.
The layout of the PROSPEX SPB192J1 dive watch is clear and easy to read. The inner shadow circle is engraved with scale lines; with the large-patterned hour scale and thick sword-shaped hands complimenting each other. The second hand has a special luminous pattern to ensure that the dive watch is visible and functional even in dark waters. There is also a practical date display window at the 3 o'clock area. The watch is driven by the accurate and reliable 6R35 automatic movement, which can provide a stable timekeeping function at any time.DESCRIPTION:
