Seiko Prospex wins the Sports Watch Prize

The Seiko Prospex wins the Sports Watch Prize at the 2018 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). Created in 2001, the foundation aims to promoting Swiss watchmaking and its values around the world.

The GPHG rewards the finest creations (in the watchmaking profession) by organising a prize-giving ceremony held annually. Winning the Sports Watch Prize is no small feat for the Seiko Prospex 1968 Diver's Re-creation, SLA025.

Limited to 1500 pieces, the SLA025 is made of quite a chunky single steel case. With a 44.8mm diameter coupled with Seiko's Hi-Beat 8L55 movement, this piece is more for Seiko collectors, carrying a price of US$5,400.
