HERITAGE SINCE 1985: FROM TANJONG KATONG TO ISLAND WIDE
Vincent Watch was founded in 1985 by Mr Vincent, a man whose passion for horology laid the foundation for what would become a trusted name in Singapore's watch retail industry. It all began modestly, with a single shop on the 3rd floor of Tanjong Katong Complex.
In 1988, driven by growing demand and an eye for opportunity, the company relocated to a prominent 1st-floor unit — a pivotal move that marked the start of its expansion. Over the years, Vincent Watch grew steadily, extending its presence across the island to include Causeway Point, Tampines Mall, Jurong Point, and Jurong East Mall, cementing its place as one of Singapore's most established multi-outlet watch retailers.
While proud of our brick-and-mortar roots, we have never stopped looking ahead. In line with evolving shopping habits, we launched the Vincent Watch E-boutique, bringing our curated timepieces online and making it possible for customers to shop with us anytime, anywhere.
From a single humble shopfront in 1985 to a well-loved name across Singapore today, our journey has always been guided by one belief: that time is best spent with the people and moments that matter most.

Vincen+ Watch — Our First Breakthrough
Founded in 2012, Vincen+ Watch has always stood for sophistication in watch retail. The concept was born when Mr. Vincent, founder of Vincent Watch, recognised the steady growth of a loyal customer base that had journeyed with the company since its earliest days.
Driven by this momentum, the team set out to create something new: a dedicated space that embraced a refined, Swiss watchmaking-oriented environment, while staying true to the values and trust that Vincent Watch had built over the years. The brand name itself was thoughtfully re-engineered to reflect this evolution — Vincen+ Watch, a name that carries forward our heritage while marking a fresh chapter.
This marked our first true breakthrough! A bold step beyond our traditional retail roots, and a testament to our commitment to remain a trusted and authorised retailer even as we grow and evolve.

WATCHES OF JAPAN
Watches of Japan — Founded 2015
Watches of Japan was born three decades after the founding of Vincent Watch, marking a new chapter for the company. Backed by strong partnerships with our Japanese brand principals, the team set out to curate a collection of the most sought-after and trend-forward Japanese watches, bringing a fresh, contemporary energy to Japanese horology. The boutique is located at Bedok Mall #01-28.
This project also marked a significant milestone for Vincent Watch: it was the first venture led by Michael Lui, the second generation of the family business, as he stepped into the company with a vision to establish Watches of Japan as a definitive destination for Japanese-movement timepieces.
Michael identified a clear gap in the market. Today, many microbrands and lifestyle watch labels rely on the same handful of off-the-shelf movements: the Miyota 8215 or 9015, or the NH35A module (equivalent to Seiko's 4R series), resulting in a market that, while diverse in design, often feels homogenous under the hood. At the same time, most consumers' understanding of Japanese watchmaking remained limited to the four major household names: Citizen, Seiko, Casio, and Orient.
Michael set out to challenge that. Rather than staying fixated on the familiar big four, Watches of Japan sought brands that could offer something different: distinctive design with genuine Japanese engineering behind it. This vision led to the recent addition of D1 Milano, a brand that uses Japanese movements across its entire range while standing apart with bold, statement-making designs that resonate with a younger, style-driven audience.

A Project Born From Necessity — and Recognition
Vincent Watch E-boutique was never originally in the pipeline. It was the COVID-19 pandemic that accelerated its creation, pushing the company to reimagine how it could continue serving customers when physical stores faced unprecedented challenges.
It was this very project, conceived and driven forward by Michael Lui, the second generation of the family business, that marked a defining moment: the first time the founding generation fully recognised the vision, capability, and contribution of the second generation. Born out of necessity, the E-boutique became a turning point not only for the business but for the continuing story of Vincent Watch as a family legacy passed forward with confidence.
